Scenes from Kabul

This is one of the opulent new homes, but more like small palaces, being built in an area of Kabul refered to as "Little Pakistan." Under the two entry arches are beautiful mosaics that feature small mirrors among the colorful mosaic tiles. It's quite beautiful.










Here is a street in "Little Pakistan" which gives you an idea of the number of small palaces under construction in this area of town.

There are many dress shops and tailors in Kabul that display beautiful fancy gowns. It's really a contrast to what you see daily on the streets.
